I learned the trend that after a few generations of new game then better version, pokemon always releases a remake (I‘m not counting stuff like TCG, Snap, Stadium, Puzzle league, channel, Colliseum etc.) and now enough are out there, I sense it is time for another remake. Yup, there are new Gold and Silver re-makes to follow Platinum.

I know little about them, but I know your starter follows you like in yellow. (Yaay! fresh air! That pokeball was really cramped!) What ever happens, I will welcome this remake more than any other. Even more than Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon, because the bonus chapter criteria was way out of line in that. I can’t see how they could possibly screw this one up (unless Palkia is in it, or Totodile is replaced with Piplup, which will never happen… please Nintendo, tell me you haven’t…)

I always thought Gold, Silver, and Crystal were at the peak of Pokemon’s greatness. I mean, I still love R, B and Y, but G, S and C was great. The huge increase in Pokemon was fun because catching all of them was still feasable, and there were 16 gyms. 16. You could even revisit the old areas, and trade over your awesome team you spent tireless years training up. Also, breeding was added, along with cute little baby pokemon. Then there were other cool things exclusive to it, and you could still figure out where to catch everything.

Then Ruby and Sapphire arrived, ruining my awesome unbeatable team strategy by making me have to start from scratch. They were still a good game, but I never managed to catch ‘em all after that. And then newer ones came out later that made me start AGAIN, and introduced a new lot, when there were enough already to spend years catching them. It isn’t fun if you can’t get them all! Who cares about just the main game, or just getting a good team for multiplayer?

So yes, I’m very glad they made more games without making more Pokemon. I can’t wait. And a final warning to all pokemon out there.

I WILL CATCH EVERY GODDAMN ONE OF YOU.

In case you wondered why I wrote a whole blog about Pokemon, I’m bored, and there’s nothing else to talk about. Everything that is worth anything in my life revolves around what information Thelazzer finds in MK, and until then, all I can do is attempt to apply for jobs too boring to mention and play games.

Isn’t it amazing that I wrote a whole blog about pokemon without mentioning Pikachu? Or did I?

He said something about someone with more than one set of eyes not saying everything they should.

I linked  this to what Sothea said about the blind having eyes, but it isn’t quite the same. Sothea implies that somebody without a sense of sight knows the answers. Ike implies that somebody who sees through multiple eyes has the answers.

Then it hit me. More than one set of eyes could also mean “four eyes,” a derogatory term for someone with glasses. This could mean one of several people.

1. Silverv wears glasses. I don’t consider him suspicious because Kilroy knows him well, and Sothea doesn’t appear to be suspiccious of him.

2. The man Fade met when he was supposed to see deadeyes4 wore sunglasses. He might have had information about Deadeyes4 he was supposed to say but didn’t.

3. Deadeyes4. We have little proof he/she wears glasses, but he/she might. Also, “eyes4″ is in the name. That is equally likely what more than one set of eyes means.

As for Sothea, it probably means the woman Silverv met, who may or may not be deadeyes4. She wore sunglasses when it was overcast, so she could be blind. On the other hand, she apparrently read what Ike had said. The blind have eyes seems almost too simple, as does more than one set of eyes. Sure it would be weird enough for me to not be suspicious, but ENGAR refers to people as “eyes” in which case, the meaning of eyes here could be that.

Think about this: ENGAR said he pokes the eyes out but they won’t shut. This could mean that the people formorly known as eyes may now be blind, but still investigating. This may be wrong, but it makes sense to me.

As for Silverv, nobody has heard from him in a while. Kilroy wrote a list of Silverv’s tastes. He sounds a bit strange. Zombies, raising dead and necromantic rituals were on the list. We’ve had enough bad zombie experience. I’m very surprized that he likes them. Mabe something happened that made him think strangely about a few things.

Well, I don’t know, but it all seems very tedious. Shapeless hasn’t been all that active on here either. Probably something to do with his older enemy he mentioned. Said something about going to divide time evenly, but my guess is that at the moment this stuff is too boring and uneventful.

Oh, but Deadeyes4 said something that sounded familiar. For some reason when he said

“He used to help me with my work when we were younger. To anyone looking at me, it seems like I’m as young as I was then, but I fell like I’ve got a bit nastier recntly.”

It sounded familiar. Re-reading it, it all sounds familiar. Like somebody mentioned it on a blog other than him before in different wording. Nobody remembers it, and looking back, I can’t find it. It sounds weird though, like he hasn’t aged in years. The bit before it when he mentioned having a brother also seemed a bit familiar, including the letter, but I don’t know why.

He isn’t Catherine or her brother, that post proves it. He gave away in a comment that he was around 24. I don’t remember anything about any other 24 year olds we’ve met, or at least none who mentioned a brother. Add the 24 thing to the not aging thing however, and it just really makes me confused. Am I supposed to know him?

Um. Anyone who wants to speculate, please do, this is puzzling me too much the longer I wait.

It mentions the births of me, Fade and ENGAR (if you can call it a birth) and also describes some sort of secret agent called ”eye” who infiltrated his way onto the research team, but disappeared. I think that this must be the guy who wrote the document on an earlier post, Deadeyes1. Presumably this is where ENGAR got the idea to call people watching him eyes. I think this implies that the agent is “1″ and was caught. This may be why Deadeyes4 was put up to the case initially. The agent may have been an aquaintance of Deadeyes4, because not long ago he issued another post declaring that an old friend of his was dead.

I also have to say with regards to that journal FAIL. You’ll see why if you read it. It fails on multiple levels.

The other post that caught my attention when searching for random stuff was one by ih8aur7. I know that jerk doesn’t tend to have anything meaningful to say, but he let something slip that sounded very suspicious, suggesting that he has some past connection with Deadeyes4.

Although he just really comes across as an even stupider Collideoscope9. I say stupider, because at least collide had some kind of philosophy, albeit a rather stupid and negative one.

I can’t shake the feeling that this Ih8aur7 guy is a bit too obsessive to be believably just another random troll, so I think he might have some connection to the collision institute. Perhaps he has been tasked with cutting off support from readers. Most of the support was gone by then, but nobody else ever commented after that who hadn’t already. It looks like his scheme is working.

Anyway, read those posts, and then from the information we have, let’s figure some stuff out.

He isn’t back yet, but fingers crossed he’ll show up overnight. Then we’ll find out the whole story.

Anyway. Albert’s journal 1 is bollocks. What a nutter. There is no truth to what it says at all. I don’t know what use it is supposed to be to us. Maybe it is supposed to set the scene for later ones in which he tells of things he really did find.

Shapeless asked what was in my chemistry set. I honestly would answer if I could. I listed everything apart from the chemicals a couple of posts back. The chemicals are a mystery. There is a yellow opaque liquid and a transparent green one. No labelling at all. Oh yeah, there’s some blood-coloured stuff and something a bit strange. I’m not sure what it is, but it’s kind of squishy, brown, it flows down edges, but smashes if you drop it. If you squeeze it, it keeps that shape for some time, but always returns to it’s original shape after a while, even if it’s in pieces, which Is just plain weird.There’s also some kind of milky substance, but only a little bit.

Fadeing thinks the dead fox has something to do with the note. (The one I mentioned last post.) A bit strange if you ask me. It’s just a fox. They’re everywhere. No point in me going on about it though.

I wonder if the new Fire Emblem is going to have decent arenas. I read that the original had arenas you can’t back out of, even if you know you’re going to lose. I love Fire Emblem, but the amount of times I’ve had to leave an arena is huge. I also don’t like the sound of the bonus chapter requirements in this remake: almost all of them are “have 15 or less units alive.” It’s rewarding you for playing terribly and losing units. I don’t mind the sacrifice 1 at the prologue, I mean, you even get given a redshirt named Frey (unless you skip the prologue) but you could keep him because he looks cool, and ditch Jeigan, that most infamous of characters, who starts great, but eats XP until you discover he has no potential, and sucks for the rest of the game, unlike Tiki, who is great when you get her, and doesn’t get worse because it’s so late on anyway. Also, criteria for reaching ch24x? They’re having a laugh! No Tiki OR Falchion? DISGRACEFUL. I don’t care if you get another Mamkute and a miniatureFalchion, it isn’t as good as the original. The only really massive flaw with the first game was the difficuly in raising healers, but I bet they’ve fixed that. Aside from that the first game looks to me like one of the best games ever even though it only got released in Japan, and I look forward to playing the remake.I might skip bonus chapters and stuff like that first time to get the original FE experience.

Wouldn’t it be great if I got paid to do this?

“find a host”

Not sure what it means, or even who it came from, but not much else has happened, so I thought one unusual thing was enough to warrant a mention. I just thought of another unusual thing! Some bloke called iwilleatyoursoul has been saying that we don’t exist. I don’t know why he bothers. If you think it’s a hoax, you ignore it, right? He even made a blog just to rant about us. Talk about having no life.

Fadeing’s being weird again. He found a dead fox on the doorstep, and he’s been looking very carefully at it to see how it died, and can’t find an injury. It could have had a heart attack or maybe eaten something bad. He is certain that it was killed and put there by someone, but I can’t think who could be bothered to catch a fox, keep it alive untill they get an oppurtunity to poison it and dump it on somebody’s doorstep.

Deadeyes4 finally responded to our pleas for clues, and left a comment on his own blog to give us one. I think he’s trying to figure out what codes would be effective for use when the situation gets more dangerous, as there doesn’t appear to be any real likelyhood of disaster just yet.

I’ll post again in a few days  (sooner if I find anything) but I’ll check the blogs most days in case there are any updates.

I got two presents: A book from Fade and a load of hairdye from Kilroy. Dunno where he got it. It might not sound like much, but I don’t have an uncle, my aunt’s decided to have nothing to do with me, and I don’t even know what’s going on with my “closer” relatives.

I got Kilroy a hat, and Fade got him a book on social awkwardness: a guide to getting over it.

We couldn’t really get Fade anything because we’re all using his money anyway. I guess you could say that’s an additional present from Fade.

I saw what Deadeyes4′s done. I don’t think he would’ve published it if there really was an error. I think its a code. One more complicated than his old one.

Pretty surprising that none of you guys have been on and tried to decipher it. You nuts usually love that stuff! Then again, you’re all probably enjoying Christmas.

Fadeing sees it as enough of a present that we’re here at all. It appears his family hates him. He didn’t get anything…

Wait a minute. Another parcel arrived. I’ll just see who its for…

…It’s for me! Hmmm. It’s from Father. A bunch of chemicals, some test tubes, a tripod and a bunsen burner.  Pretty late for prezzies, but oh well. I don’t know what half of this stuff is at all. Looks like I’ve got a bit of experimenting to do.

Woohoo!!! Science!!!

What if he’s right, and she’s been taken away? We definitely don’t have an option to back out now. We need to keep going untill the no doubt grisly end.

I must confess that I never met Fade in person before now. Sure I’ve always heard him mentioned, but that’s all. It seemed to me that his father was scared to let go of him. It was like he didn’t want my father’s influence, so he never let him visit me at all. Father said it was that Uncle Albert was racially prejudiced against people of German ethnicity like mother, but I never got that impression. After all, why did he let Lucy visit?

It was a while before I found out how ill my uncle was. Apparently he couldn’t leave bed, and wanted his son to always be nearby. Lucy I have known for some time however. I got the impression Albert didn’t like her nearby. Like he found her scary or unsettling. I couldn’t say why. She seems good natured, friendly and polite. I felt Lucy and I were quite close, because she was dropped off round here often, so I saw her a lot. Then again, Albert did become terminally ill when Lucy was being born. Perhaps he thought she was cursed? Nah.

Anyway, I’ll know all about what was going through Albert’s head when I find his journal. I’m at Fade’s now, and I know he’s an honest person. The only problem is that he’s gone a bit crazy. He shouts a lot and is always mutterring to himself. I know I’ve done that stuff before, but this is different. When he shouts, it’s not like he’s stressed out at anyone, but howling about something distant which we can’t deal with. It’s really sad, and kind of spooky.

Add that on to the tape player under the library that nobody can be bothered to turn off, and nighttime at Smythe Manor is just the scariest thing ever.

I am thankful for Fadeing’s generousity, but I really want to get a job and move out ASAP.
